Description
This extension allows to check for new versions to a page and reload it when it has changed
Once installed a "Start Auto-Reload" menu will appear in the More Options Menu.

Once activated on a specific page, the extension will check for new versions of the document when in View Mode as well as in Edit mode.
View mode
If a new version is created in the wiki, then the page will refresh automatically.
Edit mode
When in wiki or wysiwyg edit mode, the extension can check for new version and propose to merge the content when there are changes on the server. The merge will save the document and propose to reload your editor.
This feature cannot be activated if you are using realtime editing mode. It will not activate itself in that case.
Cookies
The script will be activate on this page on a specific browser until turned off or after 1 day (a cookie is used for this purpose).
Prerequisites & Installation Instructions
We recommend using the Extension Manager to install this extension (Make sure that the text "Installable with the Extension Manager" is displayed at the top right location on this page to know if this extension can be installed with the Extension Manager). Note that installing Extensions when being offline is currently not supported and you'd need to use some complex manual method.
You can also use the following manual method, which is useful if this extension cannot be installed with the Extension Manager or if you're using an old version of XWiki that doesn't have the Extension Manager:
- Log in the wiki with a user having Administration rights
- Go to the Administration page and select the Import category
- Follow the on-screen instructions to upload the downloaded XAR
- Click on the uploaded XAR and follow the instructions
- You'll also need to install all dependent Extensions that are not already installed in your wiki
