Installable with the Extension Manager

Description

A Leiothrix is a cute little bird.

This skin no longer works in XWiki 7.x+.

This skin overwrites Main.WebHome!

It mainly contains a horizontal menu that shows the active tab. You can easily add/remove items in the menu and manage the social buttons: Facebook, Twitter and Google+ to promote your company.

The best is to use the ColorTheme that is provided in the skin, but it works with defaults, so you are able to use another one or to create a new ColorTheme.

The skin also manages a multilingual site with flag for languages. Please be sure your flag is present, or add a new one. The flags used are those provided by famfamfam. The following flags are already available: EN en.png , FR fr.png , IT it.png , DE de.png , RO ro.png . In order to add new flags, just attach them in the skin on the page XWiki.LeiothrixSkin.

Below you can find some screeshots of the skin and the menu settings.

Prerequisites & Installation Instructions

We recommend using the Extension Manager to install this extension (Make sure that the text "Installable with the Extension Manager" is displayed at the top right location on this page to know if this extension can be installed with the Extension Manager). Note that installing Extensions when being offline is currently not supported and you'd need to use some complex manual method.

You can also use the following manual method, which is useful if this extension cannot be installed with the Extension Manager or if you're using an old version of XWiki that doesn't have the Extension Manager:

  1. Log in the wiki with a user having Administration rights
  2. Go to the Administration page and select the Import category
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to upload the downloaded XAR
  4. Click on the uploaded XAR and follow the instructions
  5. You'll also need to install all dependent Extensions that are not already installed in your wiki

Go to the Administration page and follow these steps:

  • In the Localisation section, set XWiki.LeiothrixTranslations as a Document Resource Bundle
  • In the Presentation tab (Look & Feel area):
    • Set XWiki.LeiothrixSkin as the current skin
    • Set Leiothrix as the ColorTheme
